Beidahuang Meat Industry Limited Company is a state-owned holding company combining the func-tions as feed processing, pig breeding, pig feeding, cold fresh pork processing, sausage products and commercial operation.

     The company's annual pig slaughtering ability reaches 4 million heads. In 2005, the company launched the construction of the phase three project, Harbin prepared food project. This project can yearly produce high and low temperature prepared food products 30,000 tons.

     The company imported the whole advanced pig slaughtering, cutting and processing line from Ger-many and Holand and the prepared food processing equipments from Germany, Japan, Switzerland and Austria. The pig slaughtering and cutting line applies the advanced technologies as 3-point low voltage electric anaesthesia, exsanguinate blood by vacuum knife, dehairing by steam, dehairing by fire, simulta-neous inspection, discharging acid while cooling, and vacuum packaging. The company has passed the authentication by the systems as ISO9001: 2000 and HACCP.

     The company has over 60 different kinds of products under the brand of Beidahuang such as the cold fresh carcass meat, frozen carcass meat, cold fresh cut meat, frozen cut meat, low temperature prepared food products and raw meat deep-processing products. The company's products have been authenticated by Heilongjiang Green Food Development Center as the nuisance free food products.

     The company has become the biggest meat processing enterprise in the northeast region of Heilongjiang Province and ranks the fifth among the large-scale enterprises in the same industry in China. The company has been rewarded the titles as Superior Quality and Products Enterprise in the Country's Meat Slaughtering and Processing Industry, Leading Enterprise for Industrialization at the provincial level, and Pointed Up-to-standard Slaughtering Enterprise of Heilongjiang. In 2005, the company was authenti-cated by Heilongjiang Consumers' Association as the Relieved Fresh Meat Products Brand, and assessed by China's Quality Tour as the Quality and Credit Guarantee Enterprise. The company is also a member enterprise of Heilongjiang Quality and Technology Supervision and Inspection Association.
